About "God Healing Patrick"

Hello everyone!

My name is Jennifer Heath, and I am a longtime friend to Patrick and Emily.  I just wanted to include this very brief post to inform you that it is my "voice" you are reading.  I am the blog author for God Healing Patrick.

Patrick and Emily have invited me to document their journey and post updates on their behalf.  All of the information I write comes directly from the source ... Patrick and Emily themselves!  The purpose of this blog is the create a place for friends and family to read the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding Patrick's cancer journey and their family in general.  Dealing with a life changing illness can be overwhelming and requires much time and energy.  We thought this would be an excellent way to invite Patrick and Emily's extended support network to remain informed about the situation while also providing Patrick and Emily with rest.

Everyone is invited to post comments and encouragements for Patrick and Emily to read below each blog post.  Although I am writing, Patrick and Emily are certainly reading your words.  While they may not respond to each of you, no kind thought or gesture will be overlooked.  Emily has already shared her heart with me that she has been "humbled by the outpouring of support" she and Patrick have received.  Please continue to lift them up!

Most importantly, WE ASK FOR YOUR PRAYERS!  In fact, by just visiting this page, you have been counted as a "Prayer Warrior" (see top).  Don't disappoint!

  1. My prayers are with you, Patrick and Emily.

    Jeremiah 29:11-13
    King James Version (KJV)
    11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

    12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.

    Ephesians 3:14-21
    King James Version (KJV)
    14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

    15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

    16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

    17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

    18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

    19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

    20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

    21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

  2. Patrick and Emily, As a Christian and a soon-to-be 12 year skin cancer survivor, I take a personal interest in those I know or encounter that are traveling a similar path and have been impacted by cancer. Although I didn't plan for or sign up for this diagnosis in June, 2001; God has allowed it and I have the opportunity to partner with Him and let His light shine through me. If I do my job right and let Him speak through me as a source of encouragement to others then I have a new ministry and many opportunities that I previously did not have. While I felt vulnerable and sought to understand what was going on and how to make the best of challenging circumstances, I never blamed God for what I have gone through. He is my source, my healer, my savior, my counselor and He is the one that has gotten me through this and will continue to until He takes me home to be with Him. I pray that God will give you His strength and peace and will find you in a place where you can trust your life in His hands. May God meet every need you have and bless you beyond your wildest expectations. Thanks for sharing; I look forward to following your progress and God's victory in your life!
    Blessings, Dawn Argenbright, Waynesboro, Va

  3. May our wonderful Heavenly Father grant you strength and endurance as you embark upon this journey. Although I do not know either of you, my daughter-in-law and son, Heath and Ethel Kimmell, have been touched by your love, your faith and your example of being a Christ-like follower. They are relatively new to your Congregation and have been moved by the individuals that make up the "Church of Westhills Baptist" I pray that all involved in your care rely on their "expertise" and that God will grant them the wisdom to do their utmost on your behalf. Peace and Prayers, Pam Kimmell, Waynesboro, Va.
