Come Eat FroYo for Patrick & Emily

The Story

Impossible to summarize into a paragraph, Patrick & Emily are a gift to all who know them. Their love story goes back to when Emily was still in high school and Patrick was just beginning his career in ministry as a youth intern. For Emily, it was the cliche "love at first sight." After all, who could resist the adorable intern who volunteered, worshipped his Lord freely, always wore a smile ... and even didn't mind wearing a little baby spit up?

After many years of friendship, Patrick & Emily began dating. Their romance continued throughout both of their college years at Liberty University. Romance led to a ring, the ring led to a beautiful beach wedding in 2008, and that wedding led to the start of their lives together as husband and wife. Much like the Jack Johnson song Emily chose for their rehearsal dinner photo montage, Patrick & Emily really were "Better Together."

Patrick has served as a dedicated Youth Minister (with Emily by his side) at several Baptist churches in Virginia and Florida. He continues to be an asset to the Kingdom!

On Friday, March 29, 2013 after a routine colonoscopy, Patrick was unexpectedly diagnosed with rectal cancer. This is where this blog begins ... to document not Patrick's battle with ... but God's victory over cancer!

That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
